Charles Aznavour hit the number one spot in England in 1974 with She. I remember a lot of people going crazy for this song, but at the time, I wasn’t too keen on it. I thought it was far too slushy.
That was until 1999 when Elvis Costello did a cover version of it. I liked the sound of Elvis Costello’s voice, and maybe, just ,maybe, my musical tastes had changed over time. I don’t think so. I still wasn’t too keen on the Charles Aznavour version.
Which led me to doing a version of the song, though not so much Charles Aznavour in style. More Elvis Costello.
So here it is. My take on the song.
