Another Coldplay song.

My seventh video uploaded on Youtube was my second Colplay number. A song called ‘The Scientist’. One of my Coldplay favourites. Off the CD ‘A rush of blood to the head’.

It wasn’t my favourite song on the album but it was definitely up there in my top 5 tracks. I have to say that my favourite song on the album is a song called ‘Warning sign’. I want to do an acoustic version of that song soon. I couldn’t find the backing music for it :)

That’s not exactly true. I found a company that had the backing for it in it’s catalogue, and I ordered it, but that was the last I heard from them. I never ended up getting the music for it.

Back to the subject of the post. On to my second Coldplay number for Youtube. You can check it out below. ‘The scientist’.

Me singing The Scientist

I can think of several other Coldplay songs I’d like to have a go at. Too much choice can be a problem in itself. I do like to take my time learning the Coldplay songs. I pay special attention to the expression, because I think they are quite intricate.

  1. Coldplay is just the best band ever (after Oasis actually) :)

I must agree that The Scientist is an amazing track. It’s emotional and true. Chris Martin’s lyrics just make me wonder about my life. The song warning sign is also spectacular. I read once in a Rolling stones interview that Chris Martin wrote the song based on his love life. I really wonder if most of his music is based on his life experiences.

I really liked your “remake” of you singing the scientist. It was deep and emotional just like the actual song itself. My favorite song by Coldplay is Lovers in Japan. It’s newer, but the lyrics are just as great as the older tracks. Lovers in Japan really sums up a true relationship, but at the same time, it tells us how we should never give up in life. Even though the lyrics are a bit abstract, you should just read between the lines. I’m sure Chris Martin scored high in his Writing Classes. I recently went to a Coldplay concert and I believe that it was the greatest concert I have ever been to. Coldplay is talented.

Thank you. Yes I agree with you about “Warning sign”. It is a very beautiful song. I have covered that one too, along with several other Coldplay songs. I sing them because they feel great to sing. There is so much scope for emotional expression :)
I’m playing catchup with this blog, so it’s quite a few videos behind. I’m hoping to post about my existing videos in quick succession.
